Weigh Scales..(The one every woman needs)


Like myself and so many of you ladies (and men) hate jumping on the scale thinking in your head that you could not possibly weigh that much and then you slowly see the scale is only going up and it was one of the most depressing moments during the day, believe me i jump in the scale couple of times a day(i know that's not a healthy habit) but i do it and in my mind i think that it should have dropped at least 10 pounds since the last time i was on it:) i was surfing the net and found this GREAT picture, so i thought i would share the wisdom that i have just found! if your feeling a little heavy that day just lay down and relax and weigh yourself the other way around and i tell you, you will start to feel lighter and all around have a better out look on yourself and how much you weigh! thought you all would like this!!

My Weekend...















So my weekend was a busy one, both saterday and sunday we had to be out of the house so people could walk though it! it's hard seeling your house and having to be out of the house and it to be so clean you could lick the floor it's so clean!
For josh and i who are eating very healthy and have not had to much of anything thats sweet look forward to fridays like you would not beleave! firdays we always go to my in-laws for the best food you could ever have, i tookj my time with eating and enjoyed every bit i had:) we had deep fried yam fries and deep fried chicken!!! YUMMY!!!! and angel food cake with whip and strawberries!! yum!!! it was a very nice night out!!!.
My Son loves i mean LOVES birds and qaucks allllllll the time, its soo cute and both josh and i lovee it! there are some pictures of me standing outside with him, its like before 8 in the morning and we were hunting for birds! and im sure are neighbors loved the yelling of his 'QAUCK QAUCKING' right next to there house:)
We also took him for alittle walk to the park:) we have been leaving the stroller behind and letting him walk, its soo cute and love seeing that little person walk!

Walking in the park
















Here in calgary the weather has been SO NICE, and anyone with little children would know the feeling of feeling stuck in your house 24-7 you start to go alittle crazy and feel bad the kids never go outside, calgary is so cold thoughout the year so when nice weather hits the streets are full of mothers getting out! My good friend meredith and her very very cute little girl just got home from being away for over a month, its been so nice hanging out and going for walks, here is one of are walks in the park...we had a blast and will try and get out more together!

Growing wheat grass, the zoo and my super Cutie...







Sorry i have not posted in awhile its been a busy week,
you all know josh and i started eating almost all raw, between 70-85%
is raw, i have lost 7 pounds and feel thinner, carbs and sugar are not a good thing for me,
i am going to start doing some workout stuff and think that will really get me going even more!
Anyways this past week has been a fun yet busy one, are dear friends the Mark family got home from being almost a month and a haft away and we ended up going to the zoo with them and the next day had dinner all together, it was an awesome time and hope there will be more good times with them!.
Both josh and i have been juicing like crazy and have started growing lots of wheat grass for juicing, josh has really enjoyed seeing things grow under his management:) I'm sure one day my yard will be full of flowers and herbs that my dear husband has grown for me!.
Memphis is getting so big! he loveeees being outside and the photo of Memphis was when i left for two hours and josh and Memphis were just heading outside to play for awhile and when i got back they were just taking there boots off had been out there since i left! Memphis would start screaming if josh tried to get him back in the house, so josh just stayed out the whole time! what a wonderful dad!

Raw Lunch









Here is my lunch i made myself today, my sister rose gave me a great recipe for a raw dressing, so i thought i would put it to the test, i did like it and i think i will use it for alot of differnt things!

Raw Lemon Zest Bars






Yesterday all i wanted was sugar and sweets and carbrohydrates, its funny when you tell yourself that you are going to start to eat more healthy and then your body turns on you and wants everything its not aloud to have and its a battle all day to fight that inner voice to put the bad food out of your mind and hands that are about to pick that yummy cookie and coffee up!!!! I went on the Internet and thought to myself i better get some dessert rescipes that are good for you and so you have that option to go get a snack if you are craving it. This Raw lemon bar is a good one, its not what you would call..right out of a bakery, but it helps with the feeling of needing something sort of yummy to have:)
Raw Lemon Zest Bars:
  1. Zest of three lemons
  2. 3-4 tsp of lemon juice(more if needed)
  3. 2 cups almonds (soke in water for 20-30 mins)
  4. 6-7 large pited dates (soke in water for 20-30 mins)

Blend together in a vite-mix, blender or food processor until chopped into little pieces, put into pan and leave in freezer to chill for about an hour.

New Beginnings






I hope everyone of you had the most wonderful Christmas and New years you could have! i sure did, and am looking forward to 2010 and all the new adventures its going to bring us!
(I'm sure my family would all have a good laugh) but both josh and i have been trying to eat and live more healthy, we have been reading more on health and have been juicing more and more, the more we talk about life and realize how many people live so unhealthy and are dieing of issues they could have made better for them selves and so slowly its showing us that we don't want to live and not learn to take care of ourselves and start when we are young and healthy so we will be able to see how much better off we will be!.
We are going to start to make better choices with living,eating,and sleeping and the stress of this world and we hope that by doing this we will live long and happy and healthy, i hope you all enjoy the journey with us and if any of you have any great recipes for dinners or lunch or healthy dessert recipes that are yummy and don't kill you with just looking at them would be wonderful! or any great tips that you and your family do to eat and live more healthy would be a great help for me!
